Somali Parents Advocacy Center for Education, Inc - SPACE wish to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to this new website. The new site features a visually appealing design integrated into a user-friendly interface making it easy for you to navigate the site.

The organization is organized exclusively for charitable and educational activities within the meaning of section 501C3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and any amendments made thereto. The specific purposes of the organization include but are not limited to: 

  1. Serve as a gathering center for parents of children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities to learn about the conditions, how to spot symptoms, how to get diagnosis and treatment therapies, how to apply for and receive state and county waiver benefits; 


  2. Help low income residents access health care services related to mental anguish, emotional distress, crisis management, divorce and marital issues, trauma, grief and loss, depression, anger management, parenting, relationship challenges, domestic violence, stress or addiction, family conflict and reconciliation, school-related learning and behavioral issues, and other challenges affecting Somali Parents;

  3.  Conduct a wide array of workshops, trainings, informational meetings, dialogues, and group interviews related to parenting with a focus on managing or preventing diseases, disorders, and illnesses in the infant, child, youth, teen, and elderly (over 55).
